DIY Kit: Mandala Vanity

Glam up your dollhouse bathroom with a Mandala Vanity. To purchase this DIY Kit, please click here for the double vanity and here for the single vanity. You can also order the assembled versions from the same links. Let's get started with assembly.

Your kit includes everything you see in the above picture. The double vanity kit is the exact same except you get an extra sink, hardware set, and longer pieces.

-front

-back

-base

-2 sides

-countertop

-5 sink pieces

-faucet

-4 hardware pieces

You will need to supply the following items:

-craft glue

-super glue

-220 grit sandpaper

-spray paint and/or stains in colors of your choice

Because the construction of the single vanity and double vanity are the same, I am only providing instructions for the single vanity. If you plan to stain the vanity., you'll need to sand off the burned edges and stain before assembly. Start by spray painting the hardware and faucet so they have time to dry. I place mine on some painters' tape so nothing blows away; 2-3 coats should do the trick. Use 220-grit sandpaper to lightly sand off burn marks. Sawdust gets caught in the scored lines so just use a needle to scrape out excess sawdust to keep the lines sharp.

Next up is the sink assembly. Remove the masking tape from both sides of all the acrylic pieces. Apply super glue to each of the short edges of the sink base and attach the 2 short sides. Allow the glue to set for a minute or so. Apply super glue to edges of the long side of the base and the 2 short sides. Attach the two long pieces. Allow the glue to set for several minutes. Apply super glue to the top edge of the sink and attach it to the countertop. Allow it to dry for several minutes.

Now we'll assemble the base of the vanity. Use craft glue to attach a side to the back. I use a square to make sure everything is lined up. Use craft glue to attach the bottom to the back and the existing side. Glue the remaining side. Apply craft glue to the front edges of the base and attach the front. If necessary, use a heavy book to apply pressure while the glue dries.

Once the glue is dry on the base, apply super glue to the top edge of the base and attach the countertop. Lay the vanity flat so the countertop is flush with the back of the vanity. Allow the glue to dry..

Apply a drop of super glue to the hole in the countertop. Gently insert the faucet into the hole until it reaches your desired height. Apply small drops of craft glue to the circle on the front of the vanity and add the hardware.
